Operators:
FIONA vehicle was developed with the aim of getting the best results in situ. For that reason, there are three places in the car which are fully approved.
The first place is assigned to the driver, the second is to an operator to ensure the correct data collection and the third is reserved to any person who wants to help in the process of inventory data collection and wants to check working methods which are always based on safety and quality.
Its principal characteristics are the following:
- Two high speed cameras takes front and rear images, enabling road and the surroundings record.
- A lineal high resolution scan camera and a laser detect existent fissures on the pavement.
- Inertial intelligent measurement system with 12 axes enables collection of superelevation, slope and radius of curvature data. .
- G.P.S system guarantees georeferential data gathered with submetric accuracy.
- An odometer located on a wheel enables the synchronization between data and images.
